Modon Properties (Modon), mandated by the Abu Dhabi Government to develop real estate, tourist and housing projects in the Emirate, announced on Wednesday the launch of the first phase of the citizen housing project, north of Riyadh City, Abu Dhabi, (formerly known as South Shamkha).
Abdulla Al Sahi, CEO of Modon, said: “The citizens’ housing project takes priority on the company’s agenda. We aim to provide quality services and improve the living conditions of Emirati families, whilst supporting the objectives of the Abu Dhabi government to provide decent living and family stability.
“This project comes in line with Abu Dhabi government's efforts to develop the housing ecosystem for citizens in Riyadh City. With this project, we hope to meet their needs of both modern and traditional residences. Our current plans have been based on surveys we conducted with citizens, providing us a clear view of their aspirations and needs.” Al Sahi added.
Explaining the details of the project, Ahmed Al Shaikh Al Zaabi, Senior Projects Manager at Modon Properties, said: “The citizens’ housing project in Riyadh City is part of our multi-phase strategic plan. In the first phase, we are planning to construct residential units in different locations north of Riyadh City. We will conduct a comprehensive geological survey of the area to guarantee high quality residential and commercial unit, supported with integrated and sustainable infrastructure.
“We are currently preparing for the second phase of the project, to be announced at a later date. Consultants and contractors will be supervised by signing citizens from the beginning of the construction until completion. We have invited the first four groups of citizens who applied for houses to sign their final contracts, and to begin the construction process. Other groups will be contacted shortly to begin the process.” he concluded.
