Modon Properties breaks ground on Show Village

ABU DHABI ,  13 March 2018

  • Show Village will allow Emiratis to see and experience the quality of their future homes before signing their contracts with Modon Properties
  • Arabtec Construction appointed to build the Show Village
Modon Properties, a master developer mandated by the Abu Dhabi government to develop vibrant housing projects and communities in the Emirate, announced today the appointment of Arabtec Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Arabtec Holding, a leading contractor for social and economic infrastructure, to build the Show Village. The announcement came during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Show Village. The event was attended by Abdulla Al Sahi, Chief Executive Officer of Modon Properties, Hamish Tyrwhitt, Group Chief Executive Officer of Arabtec Holding, Boyd Merrett, Chief Executive Officer of Arabtec Construction, and other executives from both companies.

The Show Village, located in Khalifa City, will feature a collection of nine show villas designed with the Emirati family in mind and will be ready by the fourth quarter this year. The villa designs were developed based on the findings of the “Build Your Happiness” survey conducted by Modon Properties earlier this year to identify the needs and aspirations of Emiratis when building their dream homes.

Commenting on the announcement, Abdulla Al Sahi, said, “When we embarked on developing the masterplan for Riyadh City, we had two objectives. The first is to give Emiratis a hassle-free process to tailor-make their dream homes and the second is to build state-of-the-art properties of the highest standards possible. Breaking ground on the Show Village is a significant milestone for Modon Properties and the Riyadh City project. Customers visiting the Show Village will be able to see and experience the quality they can expect from us, before they sign their contracts.
